Top Ten Leaping Bunny Products
Posted 22/07/2012If you’re wondering what the Leaping Bunny logo means, it’s issued by The Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics’ (CCIC). The Leaping Bunny Program administers a cruelty-free standard and the internationally recognized Leaping Bunny Logo for companies producing cosmetic, personal care, and household products. The Leaping Bunny Program provides the best assurance that no new animal testing is used in any phase of product development by the company, its laboratories, or suppliers.
I wanted to give a particular shout-out to Hero Brand Urban Decay in this post. I already love their products, but what they’ve done recently establishes them as a truly inspirational brand. In order to sell cosmetic products in China, animal testing is required by law. Following a protest by PETA, Urban Decay decided to WITHDRAW its plans to sell its products in China – showing that its commitment to animal welfare far exceeds its desire to increase profit. And for that reason they are my No 1 Leaping Bunny Hero Brand – hurrah for Urban Decay, why can’t more brands be like them?!
